Mom update

I just got off the phone with mom and dad. They are in good spirits, though it sounded like mom has a cold -- she's probably worn out from all the tests.

She will have surgery Feb 6. Mom hasn't decided whether to have the lumpectomy or massectomy, seeing as they both have their own advantages or disadvantages. Depending on that, she'll have radiation, possibly, and she will have about 6 months of chemotherapy.

I'm just glad she's going to be all right.

I'm so glad things are looking good for your mom, and I'm definitely still praying for you and your family as you go through the rest of this.

Your comment: Yes, good point. We can't just relativise everything and stop there, and finding a reference point is tricky.

I guess to be significant, an action ought to connect strongly to the things God says are significant -- loving God and loving others. And those aren't to be translated as "going to church" and "being nice" respectively.

Does that make sense? We can discuss this further or transplant it to the mutual blog if you like.
